Top 12 RV Inspection Questions!
When people buy a new or used RV, we've found they want to know as much about that RV as possible before buying it, so they can be confident about the quality and know about any issues before hitting the road to enjoy the RVing lifestyle.
***We STRONGLY encourage you to ask whomever you hire to do your inspection for their "points of inspection" list in writing, and compare this between companies so you know what to expect. Research the company, their reviews, and have a contract in place. Not all RV inspections are alike.
As a buyer, if you are planning to purchase any class of new or used motorhome, a 5th wheel, toy hauler or travel trailer, you want to have all the information you can in order to make an educated buying decision. Having it inspected before you buy provides you with one of three extremely valuable scenarios:
HUNDREDS of items are checked during our Premium inspections, with dozens of photos included in the report (75 to 100 pages long) and videos where appropriate.
The following article describes many of the points of inspection in detail so you know what to expect: What Does an NRVIA Inspector Inspect During an RV Inspection?
As a seller or dealer, a highly detailed inspection report completed by an NRVIA Certified Inspector gives your potential buyers the confidence to know what they are purchasing. Our extensive report can make the difference between a buyer choosing your RV for purchase over another seller's RV, simply because they can know exactly what was checked, and will feel confident they are making the right purchase with you.
As a lender, insurance or warranty company looking for confirmation of the RV condition prior to insuring or backing the purchase for a client, we also offer a much less detailed inspection and customized report that will cover only those items that you are most interested in - or you can provide us with your checklist for us to follow.
Whether the RV you are considering is new or used, an unbiased, professional inspection is highly recommended. Many brand new RVs have been rushed through the production line just to keep up with demand, and the "PDI" (pre-delivery inspection) that may have been done doesn't cover anywhere near the number of component and system tests and points of inspection that a report from an independent third party Inspector will provide.
Are you ready to make an RV sale or purchase? Need an inspector with no financial interest in the RV to provide an unbiased report on its condition? Give us a call. We're happy to answer any questions you may have, and provide additional information about pricing - which varies by the age, size and type of RV, the type of report, and our travel distance to the RV. We are also happy to provide all the details about the overall inspection process so you know what to expect.
Know before you buy, and save yourself potentially thousands of dollars in unexpected repairs.
